Applications are invited for the post of Headteacher to start in September 2027, following the retirement of the current post holder Steve Wilson at the end of this academic year.
Whitley Bay High School is an equal opportunities employer, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We welcome people from all backgrounds and actively encourage applications from underrepresented groups.
The school is an outstanding, oversubscribed, 13-18 comprehensive school in North Tyneside, which is held in high regard both nationally and in the local community. We have 1844 students, including 676 in the Sixth Form. We want our students to be happy, optimistic learners with high self-esteem, and enthused with a belief that they can achieve their full potential.
The school has an engaged and effective Governing Body, which is seeking to appoint a Headteacher who will continue to provide leadership and vision, inspire staff and students, and lead the school forward in the next phase of its development.
This is an exciting opportunity for a serving Head with a proven track record who is looking for a new challenge, or a senior school leader who is showing outstanding potential and is ready for Headship in this fast-paced but very supportive environment.
