This is a particularly exciting time to join Oscott Manor, the second school who joined the newly established Think Differently Education Trust. This marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for our community, opening up fresh opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and professional growth across Birmingham. By joining us now, you’ll be part of shaping a progressive trust from the ground up — helping to drive meaningful change for our young people while developing your own career in a supportive and ambitious environment.
You will teach young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with a diagnosis of autism alongside additional special educational needs and disabilities. Our pupils are unable to access mainstream education and may have significant gaps in their learning following previous educational disruption.
Key responsibilities
Ensure EHCP reviews take place within the required timescales.
Monitor the effective delivery of provision specified in Section F so that each pupil’s identified needs are met.
Work closely with the Pastoral Manager to coordinate approaches to behaviour support.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with pupils and families and liaise effectively with external professionals.

We are seeking a passionate and resilient teacher who is committed to supporting the whole child and helping every young person achieve their potential.
Essential experience and qualifications
Experience of working with young people with SEND, including autism and medical needs.

A proven track record as a consistently effective classroom practitioner.
Personal qualities
You will demonstrate tenacity, positivity and a strong commitment to inclusive practice.
