About the role
Working closely with the Headteacher, you will be a senior point of contact for administrative matters in the school office, taking responsibility for key processes including:
- Admissions, pupil records and the induction of new pupils on Arbor
- Attendance administration, including first-day absence calls and liaison with the Sandwell Attendance Team and Education Welfare Officer
- The termly School Census and other statutory returns
- HR administration, recruitment and onboarding, and supporting the Single Central Record
- Parental payments, purchase orders and invoice preparation on Access Education Finance
- School trips, clubs and communications with families
- Supporting the Site Manager with premises and compliance records
You will also provide reception cover and share your knowledge with administrative colleagues as part of a close-knit office team.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has two years’ experience in a busy office or administrative role, managing their own workload with a high degree of independence
- Is highly organised and accurate, and stays calm under pressure
- Communicates clearly and warmly with pupils, families, staff and visitors
- Is confident with IT, including Microsoft Office (experience of Arbor or Access Education Finance would be an advantage)
- Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Is committed to safeguarding and supportive of our Christian ethos
Experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential - full training and a planned handover will be provided.
