SUBJECT LEADER/HEAD OF DEPARTMENT FOR MUSIC REQUIRED FOR MATERNITY COVER FROM JANUARY 2027-JANUARY 2028

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring Subject Leader for Music to join our thriving and successful Music Department. We are looking for a passionate practitioner with the ability to teach Music across KS3-KS5 and the vision and commitment to lead and develop the subject. St Mark’s is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school with excellent resources and facilities, a strong programme of extra-curricular activities and a real commitment to developing students’ musical talents.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our wonderful students in a caring, supportive and inclusive environment, nurturing a love of music, creativity and performance. Effective leadership qualities and a clear vision for the subject.
Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Music
The ability to teach Music from KS3 to KS5
High expectations and be committed to enabling all students to fulfil their potential.
Effective communication and organisation skills.
A willingness to develop their skills and help our team to develop even further.
