From the advert

At Ingoldsby Academy, we believe that every child deserves to feel valued, supported and inspired to achieve their very best. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our small but mighty team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important part in helping our children to learn, grow and thrive. Working closely with teachers and senior staff, you will provide support that enables pupils to access learning, develop their independence and feel confident in themselves.

You will work with individual children and small groups, both within the classroom and, where appropriate, outside the main teaching area. You will help to implement personalised learning plans and provide the encouragement, guidance and practical support that children need to succeed.

The role will also include supporting pupils during break and lunchtime, helping to create a safe, happy and welcoming environment throughout the school day.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who:

• genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference to their lives
• is kind, patient and encouraging
• can build positive relationships with children and adults
• is able to support children with different learning needs and abilities
• works well as part of a team and is happy to learn alongside others
• can encourage children to become increasingly confident and independent
• shares our belief that every child can achieve and has something special to offer.
