This is an exciting opportunity to join Moorlands Learning Trust’s HR team, supporting the delivery of a professional, friendly and responsive HR service across our schools. Working closely with HR colleagues and school teams, you will support the administration of the employment cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, attendance, employment documentation, and workforce data, helping to maintain accurate staff records and keeping HR processes running smoothly.
This role would suit someone who is organised, approachable and detail-focused, who enjoys working with people and welcomes a varied role. If you take pride in providing excellent administrative support and building positive working relationships, we would be delighted to hear from you.
The HR team is based at Ilkley Grammar School and is a friendly, supportive team. We collaborate, learn from each and have a solution-focused, positive approach.
Moorlands Learning Trust is a partnership of schools, and we have 10 schools currently, located in Leeds, North Yorkshire and Bradford. We continue to grow and our vision is to enable every student, whatever their background or starting point, to receive an exceptional education, achieve their very best and develop the confidence and skills to make a positive difference to their own lives and the lives of others.
Partnership working is central to our approach. Our schools learn from and support one another, sharing expertise while serving their individual communities. We want colleagues across the Trust to feel valued, supported and able to thrive professionally.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Can prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines and maintain accurate records.
- Communicates professionally and sensitively with colleagues, applicants and external contacts.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and handles personal information with discretion.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and willing to learn HR systems and processes.
- Works collaboratively while also using initiative to complete tasks independently.
- Is committed to safeguarding, safer recruitment and the Trust’s values.
In return for your commitment, we can offer:
- A rewarding role supporting colleagues and schools across Moorlands Learning Trust.
- A collaborative working environment with a strong team ethos.
- Opportunities for professional development and career pathways.
- A Trust that values staff wellbeing and professional growth.
- The chance to contribute and make a difference, supporting our schools and the communities they serve.
Closing date for applications: 8am 2nd November 2026
Provisional interview date: Week commencing 2nd November 2026
